Aisha Jamila Hinds has been an American actor for more than a decade. Her appearances have included The Shield as well as True Blood. The versatility of her character has been shown in TV series including 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7 and Under the Dome since she first made an appearance with an acting role in 2003. She was first noticed in 2005 when she played the character of Anna which was featured as part of Assault on Precinct 13 She was first recognized for her performance in the 2005 biographical documentary All the Way. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series will be renewed for another season. Hind completed filming recently in the Hollywood flick Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is scheduled to be released in mid-2019.
